When you feel lost, uninspired, stuck

What to do when feeling lost, uninspired, stuck?

  • Pause before you push. Give yourself permission to stop forcing progress or trying to hustle more — clarity often comes when you create space. Take a step back, breathe and see the bigger picture.

  • Cut off the noice & overthinking.

  • Get back on the roots. Why you started in the first place, what inspires you, what is it that you actually love.

  • Clear your mind & write down things. Write down everything on your mind. Clearing mental clutter opens room for new ideas. Put some inspirational music, quiet worship or create a place of silence and make room for just listening and rewiring.

  • Change/ check your environment. A 10-minute walk, a café, or even rearranging your workspace can refresh your perspective. Check that your surroundings inspire you. It even goes to people around you, close the phone and see who are the people affecting your atmosphere in this moment.

  • Reconnect with your “why.” Ask yourself: What am I really trying to create — and why does it matter to me?

  • Break the pressure & start the momentum. Choose one tiny action you can complete in 5 minutes. Start with that and commit to little steps. Forget long to-do lists and pressures. Momentum starts small.

  • Check if you’re exhausted, not uninspired. Sometimes it’s not a lack of ideas — it’s a lack of energy. How are things in your life in general, have you slept and eaten well lately?

  • Talk it out. Share your thoughts with someone who listens without judging (a friend, mentor, or journal). Getting a different perspective from someone else is often needed and helps to unlock the next steps.

  • Do something creative & get excited. Draw, cook, dance, or brainstorm wildly — creativity in one area sparks another. Put on some exciting song or listen to a great sermon, motivational speach or do something you love, even if it´s totally unrelated. Lift up the atmosphere and allow your mind to find the place where creativity awakes.

  • Notice & change the story you’re telling yourself. “I’m stuck” can be changed into “I’m in a transition phase, and that’s okay.”

  • Ask for support. You don’t have to figure it out alone — the right guidance can shorten the stuck phase.
